Coffee and Canvas™ was started by artist and barista Samantha Nolloth in 2012. Our original focus was on traditional “paint and sip” type classes in Nolensville, Tennessee. We first held classes in Mama’s Java (a popular Nolensville coffee shop), but then rented out our very own studio space where we held classes on a weekly basis.
Around the beginning of 2014, we saw a growing want/need for painting parties that could be held anywhere so we tested the waters and ventured out into doing mobile parties. In late 2014, Coffee and Canvas™ went fully mobile!
Our mission at Coffee and Canvas™ is to provide you with an experience that will help you laugh, relax and get a taste of what art can do for your soul. We also hope that you’ll share your experiences and paintings with others. You, our customers, help us show everyone why art and creativity are important for people of all ages. Art is where dreams take on a reality. It’s time to believe and live again. We look forward to painting with you!
Here’s what people are saying about painting with Coffee and Canvas™!
My daughter had a wonderful time at the Easter themed class at the Nolensville Public Library. I would definately take her again and recommend it to others!!!
I have been painting with Samantha for over 2 years, both privately and at painting parties. Sam is an excellent artist, but just as important, she loves teaching and excels as it. Sam has helped me to not only paint, but look at the world through "painter's eyes" . She knows how to direct and encourage a new painter and simultaneously make it a fun and positive experience. She enjoys people and that brings so much to her class, on every level. She has the perfect mix of professionalism, warmth, and artistic talent. She is tremendous fun to paint with.
Coffee and Canvas is awesome! Samantha has been offering a free class at the library, and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the giant smiles on all the kids who come to our Kid's Painting Club. The kids have so much fun they don't even know they're learning! The classes have been so popular that we've had to double the number of classes to be able to handle all the budding painters. I would encourage everyone to have your own painting class at home.
I've had the pleasure to participate in three coffee and canvas events. Each one was a blast thanks in large part to the talented and highly entertaining Samantha Nolloth! I never would have thought I could paint a picture I'd be proud of, but Samantha has a gift for bringing out the artist in all of us. Her charming antics and pleasing personality put you immediately at ease. I highly recommend Coffee and Canvas to anyone wishing to explore their creative abilities!
Sam creates a fun atmosphere for all ages and still gets us to create something that might be completely new. I imagine the face-painting is fun for kids. The mobile painting is really convenient. Her service to her neighbors (free classes for assisted living residents) is refreshing. Would definitely have Samantha come to teach to create a memorable event or party.
Samantha is a talented artist and a creative, patient hostess for kids learning to paint! She led my 10 year old daughter and her 9 friends through a painting class during a birthday party and the kids had a terrific experience. The cost was reasonable and the girls had a wonderful evening! I highly recommend Samantha and her services!
amantha hosted a coffee & canvas party for my daughters 8th birthday & it was awesome!! Samantha was great with these young active kids seated, attentive & having fun painting. Kids left with great party favors (real paint brushes) and a beautiful portrait of the Eiffel Tower they painted with her guidance! Best party to date!!
My girl scout troop had so much fun at our mother/daughter paint night! Thank you Sam!!
If you do not like to laugh, paint, and meet folks who like to do likewise, then don't invite Samantha A. Nolloth host at Coffee and Canvas event with your origination. Nolensville First Baptist has been blessed by Samantha doing numerous events with our church. She has taught our forth thru six graders how to paint the Cross. Just recently at our children's lock-in she instructed them how to paint a beautiful candy "Kiss" in honor of beloved Alfred Scales. Individuals within our church have also have had Samantha bring her joy to their particular event. Samantha is the real deal. Hope you consider having her to your next event.
Coffee and Canvas, under the direction of Samantha, is one of the most enriching and entertaining things to hit this area in a long time. She is a gifted teacher and possess a genuine love of people. Combine that with artistic talent and a huge sense of fun and you get a rockin' good time when you paint with her. And you get a finished product that can boost your self esteem, or perhaps make you wince when you see that you are not the next Van Gogh. Although in Sam's eyes, everyone has the makings of a real artist. Which in turn makes us believe in ourselves. The girl is spot on!
I've done a few painting classes at different places around Nashville but I liked Coffee and Canvas the best. It was an intimate class, so I was able to get some one on one help (since I'm not good at painting!) and was able to chat and laugh with some new friends. The painting we did looked intimidating but it actually turned out nicely (and I'm not usually a fan of what I paint). There is never a dull moment with Sam! I highly recommend!
It was so much fun!:) I loved how I was about to take it one step at a time and not be discouraged!:)
Had a great time! Samantha you rock, thanks for letting us have so much fun! Will definitely be back!
Class was so much fun. Wish we could do this all the time. Thanks Sam for the fun!
My Kiddo has had a blast painting with Miss Samantha at Coffee and Canvas! And she is awesome with kids! Thank you so much!
